DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
Working through Thonet’s objectives during the design process led me to recommend a new assembly method for the Erbé, whereby the injection-molded arm components are friction-press-fitted into the base and back frame components. That method resulted in simplified assembly with reduced parts, and eliminated the need for fasteners.
